Todd Frazier
No Toms River resident gained fame younger than Todd Frazier, who rose to national and global prominence at 12 years old, playing in the Little League World Series. Winning the Little League World Series brought fame to the town itself and made him a household name for many Americans and New Jerseyans alike.
The story did not stop there though. Todd went on to play college baseball at Rutgers and on into the pros with the Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees and New York Mets. As a member of the Reds, Todd won the Home Run Derby in his home ballpark, further solidifying his stature in the game. Known as the "Toddfather", Frazier has had a very successful and lasting MLB career that will continue to make Toms River residents proud.

Frankie Edgar
Another former Toms River athlete, Frankie Edgar is a former UFC Lightweight Champion. Edgar was a standout wrestler at Toms River East, where he made it to the New Jersey state championships three years, placing second in his junior year. He went on to wrestle at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. During his four years in college, he qualified for the nationals each season.
After college, Edgar began his mixed-martial-arts career. Edgar became the UFC Lightweight Champion after defeating BJ Penn. Edgar was able to defend his title three times, before surrendering the title to Benson Henderson in 2012. During his career, Edgar has amassed a 23-7 record, with 7 wins by knockout.
Brian Geraghty
Graduating from Toms River East in 1993, Brian Geraghty went on to carve out a very successful acting career that includes credits in blockbuster films. After high school, Geraghty studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School.
Geraghty started with small roles in 1999, including in The Sopranos. In 2009, Geraghty starred in a career-defining role in the film The Hurt Locker. The movie won six Academy Awards and solidified Gareghty's status as an actor. Besides The Hurt Locker, Geraghty has also starred in Jarhead, We Are Marshall and The Guardian.
Geraghty also had a successful role in the HBO show Boardwalk Empire, appearing in 10 episodes as Agent Warren Knox/James "Jim" Tolliver.
